If you love holiday drinks, you have to try my healthier version of a gingerbread latte. My secret is using dates in the creamer for less artificial sugar, but also because it adds a caramel-like flavour that compliments gingerbread spices so well. If you aren’t a coffee drinker, I have a great alternative for you too. Check it out below.
Some Notes on the Ingredients:
Cream - half and half!
Milk - I drink whole milk, but whatever you have will work as well.
Molasses - I try and find the unsulphured one, but if not, regular molasses works too.
Espresso - I made my own using an espresso pot. If you aren’t a coffee drinker, chai tea would work amazingly in this recipe too! Just swap the espresso for freshly made chai tea.
Vanilla - please use real vanilla and not artificial, I am begging you.
Notes:
Make sure not to skip the step where you strain the mixture. If you have cheese cloth, this would work really well in this step too. You don’t want to end up with a grainy latte.
Thank you so much for reading! A couple more weeks until Christmas so we have some more holiday recipes coming, stay tuned :)
