Craving Ikea? Me too, literally all the time. This recipe was developed off of Ikea’s website and gives you all the flavours and comfort without having to leave your house (my kind of night).
Some Notes on the Ingredients:
Ground beef and pork - These 2 meats give the best flavour together, but feel free to change it up if you want to try and make a healthier version.
Yellow onion - make sure you chop it up as finely as you can, or even grate the onion so that you don’t have huge chunks in there.
Breadcrumbs - whatever you have works! I have used both panko and Italian breadcrumbs and didn’t notice too much of a difference.
Milk - I always use whole milk, but it won’t make a difference here if you use a different kind.
Beef broth - most of the time in recipes like this, I just use boiling water and bouillon cubes.
Soy sauce - ???? don’t question it, just trust the process.
Dijon mustard - again, just trust me.

Notes:
Make sure you mix the meatballs thoroughly because it will make it easier to roll them.
Wetting your hands with water might also help with rolling the meatballs.
Meal Prep?
YES! Meatballs are some of my favourite protein to meal prep because you can freeze them and then pop them in the air fryer quickly for protein whenever needed. I especially like these meatballs to do it with because they have a neutral enough flavour that they go with pretty much anything!
To meal prep this recipe, all you have to do is continue the freezing step, allowing the meatballs to freeze all the way through. Then throw them in a freezer bag and label them. They last about 2 months.
My favourite thing about this is that since the meatballs are frozen individually on the tray, they don’t stick together. So you can take out as many meatballs as you want at a time and leave as many as you want as well! If you can’t tell, I get super excited about freezer meal prep.. lol.
Have a great weekend everyone! As always, comment if you have any questions, any suggestions or anything else! Love you all :)
